Weißes Handwerk

The basis of our Weißes Handwerk Cuvée comes from Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon grapes harvested from our vineyards in St. Nikolaus (Kaltern) and Andrian. This white blend is partially fermented on the skins, after which it is aged for 20 months on the lees in wood, most of which is barrique.

Distinctly floral in the nose, with notes of citrus, cedar and stone fruit, and delicate hints of hay and mineral. The palate is filled with juicy fruit and floral notes and a marked though restrained yeasty character. A strong, acidic backbone gives way to hints of elderberry and undertones of walnut that are reinforced by a pronounced minerality. The slightest tannins present from the partial skin fermentation provide depth, a touch of wood and smoke, all of which finishes with a juicy bite.
